Senior Life actuarial product development role in West Des Moines, Iowa, focused on individual annuities. You’ll evaluate new product opportunities, develop pricing assumptions, assess profitability and risk, support regulatory filings, and help take products from design through implementation.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in actuarial work within the annuity or life insurance industry
  • Experience with fixed annuities, fixed indexed annuities and/or registered index-linked annuities
  • Strong actuarial modeling and analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, creativity and independent judgment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Technical writing skills
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science or a related field
  • ASA designation or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python, SQL, or other programming and database technical tools
