Senior actuarial leader for Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) pricing in Des Moines, IA. You will manage a team, lead daily pricing execution for PRT and institutional annuity opportunities, and partner across ALM, investments, and reinsurance. The role includes strategic work on product development, reserve modeling, and capital optimization.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Manage and develop a team on Principal’s PRT pricing desk
- Lead daily pricing execution for US PRT sales opportunities
- Partner with ALM, investments, modeling, and reinsurance teams
- Hybrid role in Des Moines — at least three office days per week
- Requires Fellow of the SOA or Enrolled Actuary with 8+ years’ experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Pension risk transfer pricing
- Institutional or fixed annuity pricing
- ALM and capital framework experience
- Assumption development and experience analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of actuarial experience
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Enrolled Actuary required
- Experience in pension risk transfer or institutional annuity pricing
- Demonstrated people leadership and ability to manage a team
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
