You will lead reserving delivery for specialty commercial lines, manage a small reserving team, and coordinate reserve reviews, audits and MI for senior management. The role focuses on reserving and process improvement with strong stakeholder engagement.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead reserving for North America Specialty commercial lines
- Manage day-to-day workflow of up to 4 analysts
- Coordinate reserve reviews, audits, SOX and independent reviews
- Consolidate reserving results into MI and present to senior leaders
- Primarily office-based in Boston (company prefers in-person collaboration)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Commercial lines reserving
- Setting reserves and reserve review processes
- Managing reserving controls and SOX/audit reviews
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years’ experience in commercial lines
- Experience reviewing and managing reserving processes and setting reserves
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Experience leading or managing a small actuarial team
