You’ll lead claims-based trend and utilization analyses, develop financial tools, identify affordability opportunities, and present recommendations to leadership. Requirements
Must have
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field
Data retrieval skills and relational database experience, including SQL and/or SAS
Strongly preferred
7+ years of actuarial work in health insurance, managed care or related consulting
Experience with Power BI, claims-based analysis, trend analysis, population health, network and reimbursement analysis
In-depth understanding of health insurance market dynamics
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong PC skills
Adaptability and ability to prioritize effectively
ASA or FSA certification by Society of Actuaries
Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries
Nice to have
Experience with commercial and government health programs
