Senior health valuation actuary role (remote, US) responsible for estimating unpaid claim and active life reserves and preparing actuarial memoranda and opinions. Performs asset adequacy testing and supports financial statement, statutory reporting, and regulatory exams. Reports to an Associate VP in Actuarial Valuation with exposure to the Appointed Actuary and senior finance leaders.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Estimate short- and long-term reserves and premium deficiency reserves for financial reporting
- Perform asset adequacy testing in support of actuarial opinions and memoranda
- Partner with Finance, external auditors, and state DOI examiners
- Remote US role with occasional travel to Humana offices for meetings or training
- Requires ASA or FSA and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries
