You will calculate and report reserves, develop valuation assumptions, test models/systems (AXIS), and act as an SME across finance, audit, and actuarial teams. The role requires deep life valuation and LDTI experience and Fellowship of the SOA.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead US GAAP (LDTI) implementation workstreams for life valuation
- Produce and review monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP reserves
- Perform model evaluations, assumption analysis, and system testing (AXIS)
- Hybrid role based in Frederick, MD
- Senior role requiring 8+ years life valuation experience and FSA
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Life insurance valuation
- US GAAP reporting and LDTI implementations
- Production and review of reserves and financial metrics
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of life insurance actuarial experience, including valuation
- 5+ years of US GAAP reporting experience, including LDTI implementations
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- Proficiency with Excel, VBA, SQL, and Python
