Actuarial Data Engineer (Associate) on Lincoln Financial’s Actuarial Architecture & Transformation team. You’ll design and implement data pipelines, automate reporting, and apply modern data science techniques to support reserve analytics and financial reporting. Hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC with alternate locations and 3 days/week in office.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Design and implement data & analytics solutions to support actuarial reporting
  • Build automated pipelines and transition manual deliverables to automated reports
  • Apply modern data science techniques to improve model accuracy and efficiency
  • Work with Dataiku, Tableau, AWS, Spark and code in SQL, Python/R, SAS, Hive
  • Hybrid role – 3 days/week in a Lincoln office (Charlotte and alternate locations)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Modern data and analytics platforms (Dataiku, Tableau, AWS, Spark)
  • Coding in SQL, Hive, Python or R
  • SAS and VBA experience
  • Data warehousing, reporting and reserve analytics

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in actuary, math, statistics, CS, data science, or similar
  • 3+ years of relevant data/analytics experience (3–5+ years preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Dataiku, Tableau, AWS, or Spark
  • Strong coding skills in SQL and Python or R; familiarity with SAS/VBA/Hive
