You will calculate US Statutory, Tax and US GAAP reserves, analyze reserve movements and sensitivities, and deliver quarterly and annual reporting in Des Moines (or Boston). Role works closely with modeling, IT/data teams and supports audit and SOX controls.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support valuation and financial reporting for variable annuity blocks
- Calculate and explain US Statutory, Tax, and US GAAP reserves
- Analyze reserve movement and sensitivities and support audit requests
- Collaborate with modeling, IT, and data teams on system updates
- Entry-level Analyst (0–3 years); Boston or Des Moines office-based
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Variable annuity valuation and financial reporting
- US GAAP and US Statutory reserving
- Life insurance actuarial experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ SOA exams passed
- 0 to 3 years of actuarial experience in the life insurance industry
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, or related
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
