HIGHLIGHTS

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Analyze actuarial valuations and assumptions for NYC public pension funds
  • Create complex financial models to estimate impacts on required contributions
  • Monitor pension and Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP) asset performance
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management
  • Hybrid role with in-person days at OMB offices in New York, NY

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Pension plan valuation analysis
  • Experience studies and actuarial assumptions review
  • Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP) asset monitoring
  • Cost analyses for collective bargaining impacts
  • Reconcile and review actuarial valuations and projections

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field
  • Analyst: minimum 2 years; Senior: 3 years; Supervising: 4 years of relevant experience
  • Previous actuarial, budget, or finance experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US and become a NYC resident within 90 days
