Assistant-level P&C actuarial analyst role in Houston supporting pricing, rate filings and reserving under supervision. You will prepare data, assist with rate indications and loss/LAE reserve analyses, and help develop tools and automation in a hybrid (4:1) office pattern.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support pricing, rate filings and reserve analyses for P&C portfolios
- Prepare and validate actuarial data and maintain data pipelines
- Assist in rate indications, profitability monitoring and product support
- Use T-SQL, Excel and scripting (R/Python) to build reports and automation
- Hybrid role based in Houston, TX (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Data management and analytics in insurance or related field
- Preparing rate filings and filing support
- Assisting with loss and LAE reserve analyses
- Preparing rate indications and profitability analyses
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant actuarial or analytics experience
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
- Familiarity with R or Python for analytics
- Experience preparing rate filings and assisting with reserve analyses
