Entry to early-career role (Assistant Actuarial Analyst / Actuary Assistant) based in Portland, OR with hybrid work across OR/WA/ID/UT.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support cost-of-care analytics and cost containment assessments for health plans
- Build and maintain data queries, analytic models, and visualizations
- Use SQL, SAS and Alteryx to prepare health plan data and production code
- Hybrid role (Portland, OR) with work-from-home options within OR/WA/ID/UT
- Expected exam progress toward ASA/MAAA; 10% bonus target

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, statistics, CS, or related
- Passed at least one SOA exam (SOA VEE preferred)
- Proficiency with SQL, SAS and Alteryx; strong Excel/Office skills
- Assistant Actuary level requires at least 2 years of actuarial experience
- Ability to work hybrid within Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah
