Senior P&C pricing role focused on Personal Auto and Home. You’ll develop state-level actuarial rate indications, analyze loss development and catastrophe loads, and provide actionable recommendations to Pricing and Product Management. Assistant Director/Associate Actuary position based in Hartford, CT hub with a hybrid expectation (3 days/week) and remote consideration for non-local candidates.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop state-level rate indications, trends, loss development and cat loads
- Provide actionable pricing recommendations to Pricing and Product Management
- Create and improve analytical tools using advanced actuarial methods
- Partner with product, data science, technology, operations and legal
- Hybrid role – hub offices (Hartford, Chicago, Charlotte, Columbus); 3 days/week expected
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Personal Lines (Auto and Home) experience
- State-level pricing and rate filing experience
- Experience in insurance or financial services
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ACAS or FCAS credential required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years experience in insurance/financial services
- Strong Excel skills required
- Knowledge of SQL, VBA, R, Python, or SAS a plus
