Closer to people leadership than a modelling-heavy individual-contributor role because hiring, performance, workload, and talent development are explicit core responsibilities.

Director-level Life pricing role in West Des Moines, Iowa, focused on annuity and life insurance product development, pricing, and profitability management. You’ll lead an actuarial team, set assumptions and credited rates, oversee profit testing and filings, and partner across product, technology, marketing, compliance, operations, and finance.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Computer Science, or Quantitative Mathematics
Minimum 10 years of actuarial experience with annuities and life insurance
Minimum 3 years of actuarial management experience
FSA or ASA designation

Strongly preferred

Product development and pricing experience
Strong expertise in actuarial mathematics, probability, statistics, and financial principles
Working knowledge of insurance laws and regulations
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and actuarial modeling tools
High level of professionalism and interpersonal effectiveness
