JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead hospital and Ambulatory Surgical Center claim re-pricing studies end-to-end
- Serve as a lead SAS/Python developer and support cloud/data migration
- Analyze unit cost trends and translate findings for Healthcare Economics
- Fully remote within the U.S. (Minneapolis/DC hires require office presence)
- Director-level role; requires 6+ years’ healthcare analytics and SAS experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Extracting data from large relational databases
- Understanding medical codes (e.g., DRG/APC/Fee Schedules)
- Working with structured, unstructured, claims, enrollment, and provider data
- Hospital claims and unit cost trend analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, CS, math, or related (required)
- 6+ years of SAS or similar programming experience at an advanced level
- 6+ years of hands-on computational problem-solving in a healthcare environment
- Experience extracting from large relational databases and working with claims data
- Strong knowledge of hospital claims and unit cost trend analysis
