Associate Actuary (Life) on the Workplace Benefits Disability & Life pricing team in Des Moines, IA. You will lead pricing methodology development for LTD, STD, PFML and support Group Life pricing, build pricing/forecast processes, and work cross-functionally with Product, Underwriting, and Distribution. Senior actuarial hire requiring an FSA and 6+ years' actuarial experience; hybrid, remote and in-office arrangements available.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead pricing methodology development for LTD, STD, and PFML
- Build and improve pricing, data validation, forecasts, and analyses
- Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, and Distribution teams
- FSA required with 6+ years of actuarial experience
- Flexible work options: in-office, hybrid (≥3 days/week), limited remote
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Long-Term Disability pricing
- Short-Term Disability pricing
- Paid Family Medical Leave product experience
- Familiarity with Group Life products
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA (Fellow of the SOA or global equivalent) required
- 6+ years of actuarial experience
- Knowledge of relevant laws, ASOPs, and professional code required
- Proficient with Excel and VBA (required)
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
