Part of Prudential Individual Retirement Strategy, which is responsible for developing, marketing, and servicing an array of fixed and variable annuity products designed to help investors generate guaranteed income that they cannot outlive. As part of Annuities Assumption and Analytics team within Prudential’s Annuities Actuarial department, responsible for recommending updates to senior management, managing key stakeholder relationships, providing insights on policyholder behavior, and developing assumptions for the annual assumption update.

What you can expect:

• Prepare and present analyses and recommendations to Annuities Senior Leaders.
• Work closely with Annuities Product Management, Pricing, Finance, Strategy, and Corporate Actuarial Oversight-Assumption on assumption and insights related deliverables.
• Develop policyholder assumptions for annual assumption updates. Enhance and deliver monthly and quarterly policyholder behavior metrics.
• Research and develop projects. Support ad-hoc projects and collaborate with internal and external teams to fulfill requests.
• Maintain and improve appropriate control environment. Utilize large databases, SQL, Excel, and PowerBI.

What you’ll need:

• College Degree (BA / BS) required. Degree in Actuarial Science, mathematics, finance, computer science or other quantitative related fields is preferred.
• ASA with 4+ years of actuarial experience or equivalent experience in a similar quantitative financial field; annuity and/or retirement product knowledge is desirable
• Understanding of how mortality related assumptions impacts Pension calculations
• Strong analytical mind and the ability to produce insights that bring business value
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Creative problem-solver, particularly in areas with little clarity or precedence.
• Highly motivated and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with high quality standards.
• Fast learner and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.

It’d be a plus if you had:

• Knowledge of or exposure to SQL, VBA macros, Python, Power BI and Git/Bitbucket preferred

The salary range for this role is from $111,400.00 to $165,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
