Associate Actuary (Life) focused on GAAP valuation and governance for Indexed Universal Life (IUL) blocks. You will lead LDTI/GAAP implementation, review AXIS models and assumptions, and produce quarterly financial reporting analyses. Role is hybrid based in Cedar Rapids, IA and involves cross-functional partner work with accounting and finance.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead GAAP valuation and reporting for IUL blocks
- Prepare reports and tooling for quarterly GAAP results
- Perform technical reviews of models, assumptions, and code
- GGY AXIS proficiency strongly preferred; hybrid Cedar Rapids hub role
- High-visibility role partnering with accounting and finance
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Life insurance product experience
- GAAP valuation reporting for long-duration products
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA required (ASA acceptable with additional experience)
- 5+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 4+ with Master's)
- Experience with life insurance products and valuation
