Associate Actuary (P&C) on the Advanced Pricing team supporting commercial lines pricing and predictive modeling. You will develop, evaluate, and implement predictive models, prepare and validate policy data, and partner with pricing, reserving and IT teams. Role is hybrid based in Short Hills, NJ and expects an experienced actuarial hire.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop and evaluate predictive models for commercial lines pricing
- Prepare and validate raw historical policy and loss data for modeling
- Recommend models and assess impacts on SBUs and regions
- Work with IT on model implementation and create monitoring tools
- Hybrid role based in Short Hills, NJ; requires 5+ years actuarial experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- commercial lines pricing/ratemaking experience
- knowledge of commercial lines rating plans
- predictive model development and evaluation
- data preparation for actuarial modeling
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of actuarial experience
- Commercial lines pricing/ratemaking experience
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and regression modeling
- Knowledge of commercial lines rating plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
