HIGHLIGHTS

Associate Actuary (Life Valuation) at Pacific Life focusing on GAAP quarter-end valuation and balance sheet analysis. You will work with the Prophet model, prepare model inputs, perform model regressions and own a subset of the GAAP balance sheet. This is a hybrid onsite role based in Omaha, NE (4 days per week) and expects an ASA or near-designation.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Support quarter-end GAAP valuation and communicate reserve movements
Work extensively with the Life Prophet model and prepare model inputs
Own a subset of the GAAP balance sheet including quarterly narratives
Collaborate with Model Steward & Model Development on regressions
Onsite/hybrid role: 4 days per week in office (Omaha, NE)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

US GAAP valuation
Life valuation / reserving
Prophet model experience
Model regression and attribution
Python familiarity

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, finance or related field
ASA designation or near-designation required
Familiarity with US GAAP reporting and valuation requirements
Experience with Prophet and familiarity with Python
Ability to manage quarter-end valuation deliverables and communications
