Associate Actuary - Life Valuation role focused on Indexed Universal Life. You will perform PBR valuation, assumption setting and experience studies, report statutory/GAAP/tax reserves, and liaise with auditors and finance. Senior-level associate position based in Addison, TX (expected in-office four days/week).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Perform Principle-Based Reserves (PBR) valuation for Indexed Universal Life
- Lead experience studies and recommend assumption updates
- Produce statutory, GAAP (FAS97/FAS133) and tax reserve reporting
- Work with actuarial modeling software (PolySystems, MG-ALFA, GGY-AXIS)
- Onsite schedule: expected in-office four days per week (Mon–Thu)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Indexed Universal Life valuation
- Principle-Based Reserves (PBR)
- GAAP accounting (FAS97 and FAS133)
- Statutory, GAAP, and tax reserve reporting
- Experience studies and assumption setting
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA with ≥7 years life experience or Career ASA with ≥10 years life experience
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, stats, economics or related
- At least 5 years' actuarial modeling or valuation and financial reporting experience
- Proficiency with PolySystems, MG-ALFA, GGY-AXIS (actuarial modeling software)
- Experience with SQL, Databricks and Microsoft Access
