JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support IBNR reserving and rate adequacy studies for health products
- Analyze medical care costs and trends and produce routine reports
- Prepare analyses and reports for senior leadership and exec decision-making
- Remote role; entry-level with up to 1 year actuarial experience
- Requires 1+ passing SOA exam and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- IBNR and reserving support
- Medical care cost trend analysis
- Rate adequacy and pricing studies
- Production of routine actuarial reports
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Up to 1 year of actuarial experience (0–1 years)
- At least 1 passing Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics or related
- Advanced understanding of statistics/predictive analytics
- Proficient in Excel including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
