Who we are

At Corebridge Financial, Action is Everything. We are a new company, but not a new business. Formerly AIG Life & Retirement, we are one of the largest and most established providers of retirement solutions and insurance products in the United States, with a long and proven track record of serving our clients. Everyday, we proudly partner with financial professionals and institutions to make it possible for more people to take action in their financial lives, for today and tomorrow.

Position Summary

The Associate Director is a key member of the actuarial valuation team within the Actuarial Consolidation Team.  The Valuation Actuaries are responsible for calculating reserves for the millions of policies across the many product lines at AIG.  Reserves are the biggest liability on the balance sheet at AIG L&R, so naturally there are many requests from key stakeholders to better understand the reserves.  The Consolidation Team consolidates, reviews and supports the Valuation Actuaries.  This is a key role on the Actuarial Consolidation Team with responsibility and involvement across the entire range of Life and Retirement business units. Specific activities include leading, coordinating, messaging and providing deliverables from and requests to the valuation actuaries, such as Annual Statement Exhibits, 10Q and 10K support, various requests from the state insurance departments, Risk Based Capital results, and rating agency requests.  This position will report to the Deputy Valuation Actuary and support the Appointed Actuary in making sure all requests are received and addressed as well as preparing special or other non-routine presentations and related commentary along with the related key performance metrics (“KPIs”) to support analysis.
