Entry-level actuarial data role supporting the actuarial data strategy for specialty P&C at Argo/Farm Family in Richmond, VA. You’ll manage and update actuarial databases, perform exploratory data analysis, and integrate disparate data sources to support actuaries, underwriters, and business leaders. The role expects 1+ actuarial exams toward ACAS and practical coding skills (SQL, R, Python, SAS, or VBA).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support actuarial data strategy and maintain actuarial databases
- Perform exploratory data analysis and apply data hygiene techniques
- Integrate and transform disparate data sources for analysis
- Collaborate with Actuarial, IT, Claims, Finance, Digital, and Underwriting
- Entry-level position requiring 1+ exams toward ACAS; Richmond, VA
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Basic knowledge of insurance
- Experience with SQL, R, Python, SAS, or VBA
- Actuarial exam experience (1+ exams toward ACAS)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or related
- 1+ actuarial exams passed and pursuing ACAS
- Experience with at least one coding language (SQL, R, Python, SAS, VBA)
- Basic overall knowledge of insurance
- Authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available
