Associate-level life valuation role supporting US GAAP and Statutory valuation for annuity blocks. You will calculate reserves, analyze reserve movements and earnings, support SOX controls and audits, and work with modeling, IT, and data teams. Location: Boston, MA or Hartford, CT.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Valuation and financial reporting for life insurance annuity blocks
- Calculate US Statutory, Tax, and US GAAP reserves and sensitivities
- Support quarterly earnings analysis, SOX controls, audits and regulators
- Work with Modeling, IT, and Data teams on model and system updates
- Based in Boston, MA or Hartford, CT; U.S. work authorization required
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Annuities valuation experience
- US Statutory and US GAAP reserving
- Reserve movement and sensitivity analysis
- Sarbanes-Oxley control maintenance
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA designation, near-FSA, or career ASA
- 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably with annuities
- Experience with US Statutory and US GAAP valuation and reserving
- Ability to support SOX controls, audits, and regulatory requests
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no sponsorship
