Lead the actuarial pricing team for all executive assurance business, including lines such as Directors and Officers, Employment Practice Liability, Private Equity, Transactional Risk, and many others.
- Business Leader: The primary role will be to provide Actuarial support to the Executive Assurance division, working closely with BU leadership and strategic analytics to shape the book of business. You'll be creating new actuarial analyses and insights that provide actionable information to BU leaders to guide strategy.
- Technical Pricing: Continue to improve technical pricing by developing accurate assessments of risk; this will include both refining the current structure as well as finding new predictors and building new models.
- Profitability Reviews: Provide insight to BU leadership and senior executives on the current health of the book, including finding meaningful differentiation between different products and segments.
- Focus on an exciting variety of specialty products, this business is written primarily in house and through minimal MGUs and Programs.

Key Evaluation Criteria
- Most AVPs are qualified actuaries (generally ACAS/FCAS) with 10 to 20 years of experience, but exceptional performers have been recognized as early as 7 years.
- Superior communication is a critical skill, as core responsibilities will be managing the BU relationship and presenting to senior executives.
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical actuarial skills, able to build and refine actuarial studies and tools, including experience with rater development in Excel/Python or other platforms.

For NYC and Jersey City, NJ: $129,500 - $201,066/year
- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
