HIGHLIGHTS

AVP & Actuary leading the Insurance Risk Economic Capital framework at MetLife, responsible for transforming manual, spreadsheet-driven capital processes into automated, scalable, and insight-driven capabilities. This senior role also provides independent review and challenge of actuarial assumptions, including the integration of AI and advanced analytics. The position is based in Wilmington, Delaware with a hybrid work pattern.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Oversee Insurance Risk EC framework, including reporting, planning, and methodology
Lead transformation of EC reporting to automated, scalable processes
Provide independent review of actuarial assumptions (mortality, morbidity, PHB)
Integrate AI-related risks into the Economic Capital framework
Hybrid role â 3 days/week in Wilmington, DE office

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Economic capital frameworks

Reporting, modeling, or analytics process transformation

KEY REQUIREMENTS

10+ years in insurance, actuarial, or risk management
FSA/ASA (or equivalent) strongly preferred
Strong understanding of Economic Capital frameworks and actuarial assumptions
Experience with data/analytics tools (Python, visualization) and automation
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
