AVP & Actuary on Chubb's Commercial Insurance actuarial team focused on portfolio management and process modernization for the total commercial portfolio. You will lead price and on-level monitoring, build automated tools, dashboards, and scenario testing, and partner with Technology, Underwriting, and Data Analytics. Senior individual contributor role based in Jersey City, NJ (options include Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philadelphia, PA).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead portfolio management and price monitoring across Chubb's commercial insurance portfolio
- Drive process modernization, automation, and scenario testing for portfolio decisions
- Build tools, reports, and dashboards to deliver timely analytics to stakeholders
- Hands-on work with Python, R, SQL, and VBA on large datasets
- AVP-level individual contributor based in Jersey City, NJ (8+ years required)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial or analytical experience in insurance
- Process improvement and automation of actuarial workflows
- Experience with price monitoring and profitability analysis
- Experience with transformation initiatives and AI/machine learning
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of actuarial or analytical experience in insurance
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (required)
- Strong proficiency in VBA, R, Python, and SQL
- Experience building analytical tools and automating workflows in production
- Experience with price monitoring, profitability analysis, and reporting
