Closer to people leadership than a pricing partner role because managing the pricing organization and setting its direction are central to the mandate.

Executive-level Health actuarial pricing role based in Columbus, Ohio, leading pricing strategy across Group Health, Nationwide Pet, and Specialty Insurance. You will oversee rate plans, modelling, portfolio performance, profitability analysis, risk considerations, and a large pricing organization while advising senior leadership. The role typically requires 10+ years of related experience and prior management experience; FSA and MAAA are preferred.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of related experience (pricing, actuarial, product, advanced analytics)
  • Prior management experience
  • Undergraduate studies in actuarial science, advanced analytics, business, finance, mathematics, economics, or related field
  • Ability to attract, hire, and develop strong talent
  • Strong communication skills to build and defend business cases and provide executive-level recommendations
  • Ability to explain actuarial and analytical concepts clearly
  • Foundational knowledge of modern technology and actuarial tools with experience implementing advanced modeling

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree preferred
  • FSA and MAAA designations
