JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead valuation and reserving for US life products, including LDTI and statutory reserves
  • Oversee asset adequacy testing (CFT), NAIC RBC review, and annual/quarterly close
  • Build and manage a 3–5 person actuarial team and serve as deputy appointed actuary
  • Drive automation and AI-led modernization of actuarial processes
  • Hybrid role based in Des Moines, IA; FSA designation strongly preferred

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • US statutory reserving and valuation
  • US GAAP LDTI valuation
  • asset adequacy testing / cash flow testing (CFT)
  • NAIC RBC and reserve governance
  • experience as (deputy) Appointed Actuary

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years actuarial experience with US statutory and US GAAP (LDTI) valuation
  • Proven reserving, experience analysis, and asset adequacy (CFT) expertise
  • Experience with actuarial modeling software and valuation controls
  • Bachelor's degree with minor in mathematics/statistics/actuarial science
  • Ability to present to executive and board-level audiences
