Director-level P&C reserving role responsible for Reserving & Loss Analytics for the Programs book in Hartford, CT. You will own reserve analyses, NAIC SOA and US GAAP/statutory reporting, SOX compliance, and partner with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance. The role requires strong leadership, deep reserving experience, and advanced analytics skills (SQL/Python/Power BI).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Own reserving and loss analytics for the Programs book (Auto, GL, Prop, WC)
  • Lead NAIC SOA, US GAAP/statutory reporting and SOX-related processes
  • Partner with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance on trends and actions
  • Drive advanced analytics and ensure data quality using SQL and modern tools
  • Director/AVP role based in Hartford, CT with incentive eligibility

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Progressive actuarial experience within the property and casualty industry
  • Minimum 5 years in a Reserving function
  • Experience with Auto, General Liability, Property and Workers Compensation
  • Familiarity with NAIC SOA, US GAAP, statutory reporting and SOX processes

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years in progressive P&C actuarial roles
  • 5+ years of reserving function experience
  • ACAS or FCAS designation required
  • Expert SQL and Excel; Python and Power BI preferred
  • Proven experience leading and developing actuarial teams
