Senior P&C reserving leadership role (AVP) focused on reserving and loss analytics for the Programs book in New York. You will own reserve analytics, NAIC/US GAAP/statutory reporting, SOX and audit interactions, and partner with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance. The role emphasizes building analytic capabilities, advanced data tools, and leading a high-performing reserving team.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Own reserving and loss analytics for the Programs book (Auto, GL, Prop, WC)
- Lead reserving projects and present reserve analyses to execs, auditors, and regulators
- Manage regulatory communication, NAIC Statement of Actuarial Opinion, and SOX tasks
- Use SQL, Excel, Power BI and analytics to improve reserving processes
- AVP-level role with team leadership and people development responsibilities
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Property and casualty insurance industry experience
- Reserving function experience with reserve analyses
- Experience with Auto, GL, Property and Workers' Compensation
- NAIC Statement of Actuarial Opinion and regulatory reporting
- SOX compliance, external/internal audit and finance collaboration
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years in P&C actuarial roles
- 5+ years in a Reserving function
- Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS)
- Expert SQL and Excel; Power BI, Snowflake and Python preferred
- Experience with NAIC, US GAAP, statutory reporting and SOX compliance
