Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Senior P&C reserving leadership role (AVP) owning Reserving & Loss Analytics for the Programs book in Hartford, CT. You will lead reserving processes, regulatory filings (NAIC SAO), SOX controls, US GAAP/statutory reporting and partner with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance. The role requires deep reserving experience and ACAS/FCAS credentialing.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Own reserving and loss analytics for the Programs book (Auto, GL, Prop, WC)
Lead quarterly reserve analyses and regulatory/NAIC SAO communications
Partner with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance on emerging trends
Apply advanced analytics and data tools; ensure data quality and models
Hartford, CT based AVP-level role with team leadership responsibilities

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Property and casualty actuarial experience
Reserving and loss analytics experience
Experience with Auto, GL, Property, and Workers' Comp lines
NAIC Statement of Actuarial Opinion and regulatory reporting
US GAAP, Statutory reporting and SOX compliance experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS

10+ years in property & casualty actuarial roles
5+ years of experience within a reserving function
Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS)
Expert SQL and Excel; Python and Power BI preferred; Snowflake knowledge preferred
Proven experience leading and developing actuarial teams
