Role type

Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing-underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the analytical work is explicitly embedded in underwriting and portfolio decisions.

Senior P&C pricing and analytics leadership role in a US specialty insurance MGA. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Product & Actuarial, you will own pricing models, portfolio analytics, and underwriting decision tools while helping build the business's analytical capabilities.

Requirements

Must have

  • 5–7+ years of actuarial experience
  • ACAS or FCAS designation

Strongly preferred

  • Strong pricing experience including rating model development and pricing framework design
  • Understanding of claims analytics, portfolio performance, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience building analytical models, tools, or processes from the ground up
  • Experience partnering with underwriting and business leaders to drive pricing, automation, and risk management decisions
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel

Nice to have

  • Cyber insurance experience
