AVP, Personal Lines Product (Quincy, MA) at a P&C carrier. Lead product and pricing strategy for personal auto, homeowners, dwelling fire and umbrella lines, oversee filings and rating algorithms, and manage a team of product and analytics leaders. Responsible for regulatory interactions, profit and revenue forecasting, vendor management and cross-functional partnerships.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead product and pricing strategy for Personal Lines (Auto, Home, Dwelling Fire, Umbrella)
- Oversee rating algorithms, rate filings, and DOI negotiations
- Manage a team of analytic managers and individual contributors
- Develop revenue and profit forecasts and monitor performance
- Partner cross-functionally with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, IT and Finance
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Personal Lines product, pricing and underwriting management
- Regulatory filings and Department of Insurance relationships
- Budgeting, revenue and expense planning and monitoring
- Leading and developing managers and analytic teams
- Working with IT on product, pricing and system implementations
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years in Personal Lines product/pricing/underwriting management
- Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams of managers and analysts
- Intimate working knowledge of Personal Lines pricing, product and underwriting practices
- Experience managing regulatory/Department of Insurance filings and relationships
- Experience working with technology teams to execute product, pricing, and system changes
