Actuarial IT Business Systems Analyst supporting the Actuarial Data Center in Des Moines, IA. You will gather and document business and technical requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and support Agile delivery, UAT, and production incident management. Role involves data analysis and occasional coding in SQL, SAS, R, or Python and contributing to AWS modernization efforts.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Elicit and document business and technical requirements for actuarial systems
- Translate requirements into functional specs and user stories (JIRA)
- Support UAT, incident/defect management, and production support
- Work with SQL and perform analysis; coding in SAS, R, or Python as needed
- Contribute to modernization efforts using AWS
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial business systems analysis
- SQL and data analysis tools
- SAS, R, or Python coding experience
- Agile/JIRA user story and UAT experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst in an Actuarial environment
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools
- Experience coding/analysis in SAS, R, and/or Python
- Experience working in Agile with JIRA and coordinating UAT
