Business Systems Analyst (Actuarial IT) contract role in West Des Moines, IA supporting the Actuarial Data Center. You will elicit and document business and technical requirements, support UAT and production, and perform analysis/coding in SAS, SQL, R or Python. The role contributes to AWS-based modernization efforts and works in an Agile/JIRA environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support Actuarial Data Center: gather requirements and retire outdated processes
- Perform analysis and coding in SAS, SQL, R and/or Python
- Contribute to AWS-based modernization and cloud initiatives
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and remediate production bugs
- 9–12 month contract based in West Des Moines, IA (onsite)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial Data Center requirements gathering
- Coding and data analysis in SAS, SQL, R or Python
- AWS cloud modernization experience
- Agile/JIRA user story creation and UAT coordination
- Production support and incident/defect management
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Hands-on coding experience in SAS, SQL, R and/or Python
- Experience working in Agile with JIRA and writing user stories
- Experience with AWS/cloud modernization efforts
- UAT, incident/defect management and production support experience
- Eligible to work in the US (No OPT/CPT candidates)
