What the day will look like

We are looking for candidates with experience in managing clients and people to join our team and enhance our General Insurance Tyche Capital Model ('TCM') service offering.

You will be part of a friendly team that forms a collaboration between our actuarial teams and software development teams, whose goal is to support the adoption of TCM across the (re)insurance market.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in meeting the expectations of our clients through managing teams who are delivering high quality innovative solutions and projects.

This role will encompass a wide variety of work. Initially the successful applicant can expect to be involved with the following:
  • Client Support:
  • Leading technical discussions and workshops with clients to gather business requirements.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary project teams to design, implement, and review capital modelling needs for insurers.
  • Supporting and training users of our systems.
  • Product and Service Development: Help shape our service and product offerings by keeping abreast of market developments and requirements to identify areas of opportunity for Aon.
  • Team Management: Line management and training of actuarial team members.
  • Sales Support: Supporting the sales process through proof of concept exercises, demonstrations and trials for Tyche and TCM.

STG is Aon's new global consulting and technology business focused on, but not limited to, insurance and reinsurance companies and other participants in the insurance industry. The business provides strategy consulting, technology solutions and advisory services to many of the most prestigious companies in Global (Re)insurance. We have privileged access to Aon's proprietary data, software, and the knowledge of its global network of insurance industry experts to derive unique and compelling insights into the sources of competitive advantage in our industry.

Aon's software platform, Tyche, is used by some of the largest life, non-life, composite and pension firms worldwide, which benefit from the ground-breaking capabilities that Tyche gives them. Our consulting team provides a full breadth of actuarial services with a focus on Tyche implementations and developing solutions in Tyche. We have a strong team of exceptional developers and our IT team offer fully hosted solutions.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Technical knowledge of capital modelling techniques (8+ years' experience)
  • Experience developing actuarial modelling solutions (capital modelling software knowledge is desirable)
  • Exemplify analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading and managing development projects and/or teams.
  • A strong, self-motivated team player that works collaboratively.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to adapt to suit different audiences, and good at building relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Self-starter who is adaptable in times of change and comfortable with uncertainty
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM field

Additional nice to haves include
  • ACAS or FCAS designation or equivalent post-graduate degree in a STEM field
  • Experience of rating agency frameworks

The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $190,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
