JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead claims analytics for reserving, summarizing data from claims and actuarial systems
  • Build and prototype reporting suites and key claims metrics in PowerBI
  • Analyze claims trends to inform reserving diagnostics and corporate strategy
  • Hands-on with SQL Server, ResQ/Unify, Excel and VBA
  • Hybrid role — typically 3 days per week in the Chicago office

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Data transformation and business intelligence
  • Claims case reserving practices
  • Insurance and actuarial concepts and terminology
  • Claims handling practices and policies
  • ResQ/Unify and SQL Server experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years industry experience in data transformation, BI, and analytics
  • Strong understanding of insurance, claims, and actuarial concepts
  • Deep knowledge of claims case reserving practices and their actuarial impact
  • Advanced skills with Excel, SQL Server, ResQ/Unify, PowerBI, and VBA
