Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to consulting than an underwriting-partner role because assignments span multiple client types and markets rather than one carrier portfolio.

Senior P&C consulting actuary role with Milliman’s Atlantic Region P&C practice in Burlington, Vermont or Boston, Massachusetts. You’ll oversee projects, peer-review work, advise clients across insurance and alternative-risk markets, and mentor actuaries. The role requires FCAS, strong R and Excel skills, and experience spanning pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, capital, ERM, or reinsurance.

Requirements

Must have

  • FCAS designation
  • Bachelor's degree with quantitative coursework
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Up to 10 years of professional actuarial experience
  • Mastery of R for statistical modeling
  • Proven proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of Access and PowerPoint
  • Experience in pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, capital modeling, ERM, or reinsurance

Nice to have

  • Mastery of @Risk, VBA, Python, SAS, or STATA
  • Published thought leadership or conference presentations
