Closer to a quarterly reserving cycle role than a modelling-heavy internship because monitoring and recurring reserve analysis define the work.

Corporate Reserving Actuarial Intern role in Munich Re’s P&C reinsurance business, based onsite in Princeton, NJ or New York City. You’ll support segment-level reserving, quarterly monitoring, loss development analysis, data visualization, and a reserving project while building experience with Excel and reinsurance fundamentals.

Requirements

Must have

  • Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without sponsorship; no OPT/CPT sponsorship available

Strongly preferred

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Preferred majors in actuarial science, data analytics, economics, math, risk, stats; other STEM majors accepted
  • One CAS/SOA actuarial exam passed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities (clear thinking, curiosity, integrity, drive)
  • Interest in the P&C reinsurance industry and enthusiasm for learning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
