Remote retirement actuarial consultant role focused on defined benefit and cash balance plan administration. You will perform actuarial valuations, prepare valuation reports and regulatory filings, and act as the primary client contact for a dedicated book of plans. Requires client-facing consulting experience and strong Excel skills. Position is based in Wakefield, MA (remote).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Serve as primary contact for a book of defined benefit and cash balance plans
- Perform annual actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports
- Execute regulatory compliance: AFTAP, Schedule SB, PBGC and Form 5500 support
- Client-facing consulting role with remote work arrangement
- Requires 3+ years of DB plan actuarial/consulting experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Defined benefit plan valuation and administration
- Combined defined benefit/defined contribution nondiscrimination testing
- Cash balance and defined benefit plan design familiarity
- Preparation of AFTAP, Schedule SB and PBGC filings
- Form 5500 and annual funding notice preparation
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years actuarial and consulting experience in defined benefit plan valuation
- Experience with combined DB/DC nondiscrimination testing
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with defined benefit and cash balance plan designs
- Ability to manage client relationships and communicate plan results
