Role type

Client-facing healthcare actuarial consulting

Closer to client-facing consulting than an in-house specialist role—the primary advisor relationship and executive recommendations drive the work.

Director-level US Health actuarial role with Brown & Brown, supporting commercial employer health, stop-loss, and broader healthcare clients. You will lead complex consulting engagements spanning pricing, reserving, forecasting, product design, and care-model evaluation while advising executive stakeholders and developing actuarial tools.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, data science, economics, or related field
  • 12+ years of healthcare actuarial experience across areas such as commercial healthcare, stop-loss, H&W consulting, care management evaluation, reserving, pricing, pharmacy/PBM analytics, alternative funding, actuarial model development, and healthcare data sources

Strongly preferred

  • FSA strongly preferred; ASA with significant senior-level experience considered
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, VBA, R, or Python
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights
  • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to convey complex actuarial concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and client-facing experience
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives forward
