Director-level health actuarial role focused on reserving and financial reporting. You will own consolidated reserving models, monthly claims projections, and actuarial opinions for a nonprofit health plan. The role is based near Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI and requires leadership of actuarial staff and cross-functional work with Network and Finance.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead reserving for a nonprofit health plan, including IBNR and variance analysis
- Own monthly fee-for-service claims projections and variance reporting
- Prepare actuarial opinions and support financial audits
- Manage and mentor actuarial staff and sign actuarial communications
- Hybrid office role — ~3 days per week in Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- IBNR development and reserving methodologies
- Monthly fee-for-service claims projections
- Variance analysis and reserve adequacy assessments
- Statutory reporting and actuarial opinions support
- Provider settlement estimates and reporting
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years of leadership
- Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required
- Proven expertise in reserving, IBNR development, and variance analysis
- Experience supporting statutory reporting, actuarial opinions, and audits
- Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
