Director-level health actuarial role focused on reserving and financial reporting for a nonprofit health plan. You will design consolidated reserving models, produce monthly claims projections and variance reporting, support statutory opinions and audits, and lead a team of actuarial staff. Onsite hybrid role based in Madison, WI (also open to Minnetonka, MN).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead reserving for a nonprofit health plan and maintain consolidated reserving models
- Produce monthly fee-for-service claims projections and variance reporting
- Support annual statement actuarial opinions and financial audits
- Manage and mentor actuarial staff; sign actuarial communications
- Hybrid office role — ~3 days per week in Madison, WI or Minnetonka, MN
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- IBNR development and reserving methodologies
- Variance analysis and reserve adequacy assessments
- Statutory reporting, actuarial opinions, and financial audits
- Provider settlement estimates and fee-for-service claims projections
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in actuarial or related roles
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- Member, American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
