Pricing partner to segment leadership

Closer to a pricing and business-partner role than a reserving cycle role because product decisions, profit goals, and rate negotiations drive the work.

Director-level Health actuarial role supporting commercial and ACA health products from Medica's Madison, WI or Minnetonka, MN offices. You will own product pricing, oversee experience studies and forecasts, support rate filings, quantify risk, and advise segment and corporate leadership. The hybrid office role requires an average of three onsite days per week.

Requirements

Must have

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Work onsite 3 days per week in Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 10 years of experience
  • 5 years of leadership experience
  • FSA or ASA with demonstrated performance under qualified actuary
  • Member, American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
  • Health actuarial or related actuarial experience

Nice to have

  • Commercial health insurance experience, including fully and self-insured
  • Experience with ACA
  • Experience with rate and premium setting
