Lead enterprise medical expense forecasting and trend work for at-risk Home & Community senior populations (DSNP/ISNP/CSNP), own methodologies and executive reporting, and manage a high-performing actuarial team. Remote across the U.S. with some local on-site requirements for Minneapolis/DC hires.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead enterprise medical expense forecasting for Optum Home & Community senior populations
- Own actuarial methodologies, assumptions, and executive-level forecast reporting
- Manage and mentor a high-performing actuarial analytics team
- Build forecasting frameworks from inception through automation using R, SAS, SQL, Python
- Remote role (U.S.) with local on-site requirements for Minneapolis/DC hires
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Medical expense forecasting for at-risk populations
- Trend development and risk assessment in payer or provider settings
- Presenting analytic findings to senior leadership
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Credentialed Actuary: ASA or FSA required
- 8+ years of healthcare actuarial experience
- 3+ years of people and/or project management experience
- Significant experience in medical expense forecasting and trend development
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with R, SAS, SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, VBA
