Closer to people leadership than a modelling-heavy individual-contributor role because department management, strategic influence, and executive communication define the senior remit.

Director-level remote P&C actuarial leadership role for eligible residents of 11 northeastern US states. You will lead Actuarial Services across pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, reinsurance, financial planning, and strategic decision support for personal and commercial lines.

Requirements

Must have

  • FCAS designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • 10+ years of actuarial experience in pricing and predictive modeling
  • 5+ years as a strategic leader and manager of an actuarial department in a P&C environment
  • Employment offered to residents in specified states only

Strongly preferred

  • Experience in loss reserving
  • Strong knowledge of personal lines and/or commercial lines P&C products
  • High degree of executive presence and business acumen
  • Superior analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset and ability to dive deeper to determine root causes
  • Demonstrated initiative, autonomy and commitment to process improvements
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field
