HIGHLIGHTS

Director-level health actuarial role leading Trend Management for Specialty Benefits (dental and vision). You’ll own reserving (IBNR, PDR, LDTI), forecasting, regulatory certifications, and lead a team while partnering with senior business stakeholders. Role is U.S.-based with remote flexibility and in-office requirements for certain metro areas (Minnetonka/Minneapolis).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead trend management and reserving for Specialty Benefits (dental and vision)
  • Own month-end IBNR, other reserves, quarterly trend analyses, and financial forecasts
  • Build complex actuarial models using R, Python, SAS, SQL, and Excel
  • Manage and develop a team of Actuarial Consultants and Analysts
  • Remote within U.S. with Minneapolis/DC hires required 4 days/week in office

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Healthcare actuarial experience
  • Experience with healthcare claims data
  • Reserving and forecasting (IBNR, PDR, LDTI)
  • Experience presenting complex analytical findings
  • Experience managing people and leading projects

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • SOA actuarial credential: ASA or FSA required
  • 10+ years of healthcare actuarial experience
  • 5+ years working with healthcare claims data and presenting complex analyses
  • 5+ years managing people and leading projects
