Director-level actuarial role at a life and annuity reinsurance company in New York. You will build and review transaction models, support pricing and underwriting, and lead reserving and US GAAP/statutory financial reporting. The role reports to the Chief Actuary, works closely with accounting and investment teams, and is full-time in-office.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead valuation, reserving and pricing for life and annuity reinsurance transactions
- Build and review actuarial models and financial projections
- Support US GAAP and statutory valuation and reporting
- Full-time onsite role in New York
- Recent FSA or equivalent with 5–10 years’ actuarial experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Reinsurance experience
- Fixed Indexed Annuities or Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuities experience
- Traditional life insurance experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5–10 years of relevant actuarial experience
- Recent FSA or similar level
- Strong knowledge of Statutory and US GAAP valuation
- Ability to work full-time onsite in New York
- Strong actuarial software knowledge
