HIGHLIGHTS

Director-level life actuarial role on the CFT & PBR team responsible for Life statutory valuations (VM-20), VM-31/AOMs and annual Asset Adequacy Testing. You will lead model development, assumption setting, attribution analysis, and manage onshore/offshore staff. Location is Houston, TX (hybrid hub) with flexibility for fully remote candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead Life statutory valuations including VM-20 and quarterly reserve attribution
  • Own annual Asset Adequacy Test (AAT): model dev, assumptions, attribution
  • Prepare VM-31, AOMs, regulatory responses, audits and state exam support
  • Manage and plan onshore and offshore actuarial staff
  • Hybrid role based in Houston hub; remote candidates considered

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Life product valuation and statutory reserving
  • VM-20 (PBR) reserve calculations and attribution
  • Annual Asset Adequacy Testing (AAT) model development
  • Preparation of VM-31 and Actuarial Opinion Memorandums (AOMs)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with 2+ years post-Fellowship
  • Demonstrated Life product valuation and statutory reserving experience
  • Experience leading AAT, VM-20, VM-31 and related regulatory deliverables
  • Proven people management experience with onshore/offshore teams
